Council Bluffs Bike Club was organized in October of 1981.  That December  the members changed the name to Pottawattamie Pedalers an voted in  there first officers. 

The club grew as our friends and family's grew.  There was racing ,time trials, lots of show an goes, even seeing how fast they could ride from the Missouri to Mississippi and of course Ragbrai. In the mid 80's we were over 100 strong.

Now 26 years later our family's have grown an the club has left the racing an time trails behind us.  Our number are small now,  but we still enjoy riding with our friend and of course doing Ragbrai.  

We support the Wabash Trace Nature Trail it goes to Missouri an beyond more then 60 miles long.

Our current  projects are bike saftey with the Scouts and local schools and the Wabash.

     In 2006 we took 70 rider from 17 states  across Iowa with us.  The youngest was rider was 7 (the most grownup seven I ever seen) and 3 riders of the  young age of 73..

Our ride started with a wine an cheese ice breaker.   Had fair weather most the week.   Lots of laughs an lots of stories.....
